About Us

The Carson & Claire Forever Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides educational and fitness opportunities to children through collaboration with teachers and coaches to help them Read and Play Forever.
Our mission is to empower children to reach their full potential by fostering a love for reading and promoting an active lifestyle.

Our History

​In May 2010, Carson (Age 5 years) & Claire DeJoode (Age 5 months) died in a car accident caused by a pickup truck running a stop sign and crashing into their mother, Heather's minivan. Heather was left in a coma with a traumatic brain injury, and their three-year-old brother Chase was hospitalized, Troy & Heather DeJoode established the Carson & Claire Forever Foundation to honor their memory.

We envision a world where children are protected and cherished, where families find unwavering support in times of tragedy, and where the power of compassion and organ donation transforms lives.
